Rava kesari
Rava kesari is a quick South Indian dessert made of rava(semolina), sugar, ghee and nuts. The main fact for this dessert lies in the ratio of sugar, water and ghee.
Ingredients
1. Rava (1cup)
2. Sugar (1cup)
3. Cashews
4. Ghee/ oil
5. Kesari color/ saffron
6. Cardamom
Directions
1. In a pan add 2 spoons of ghee. Dry roast the rava and transfer it to a plate.
2. In the same pan add 3 cups of water.
3. Add some ghee or oil to the water so that the rava geta smooth and soft without sticky.
4. Add a pinch of kesari color or saffron and cardamom. Here i have also added pineapple essence.
5. Now when the water starts boiling add roasted rava and mix well.
6. When rava absorbs the water, add required amount of sugar and mix well.
7. Now our kesari will leave some water, but soon it will come to the correct texture.
8. Finally add roasted cashews and ghee to the kesari.
9. Rava kesari is ready to serve.
