CHICKEN CHUKKA
CHICKEN CHUKKA IS A SOUTH INDIAN RECIPE WHICH IS VERY EASY AND QUICK TO PREPARE . IT CAN BE SERVED AS AN APPETIZER OR WITH MILD PULAO OR PLAIN BIRIYANI.
INGREDIENTS
1. CHICKEN ( 1/4 KG)
2. ONION ( 1 CUP)
3. GINGER GARLIC PASTE ( 2 TBSN)
4. CHILLI POWDER
5. CORIANDER POWDER
6. TURMERIC POWDER
7. SALT
8. CINNAMON
9. CARDAMOM
10. CLOVES
11. CUMIN SEEDS
12. PEPPER CORN SEEDS
13. FENNEL SEEDS
DIRECTIONS
1. IN A PAN FRY CINNAMON, CARDAMOM, CLOVES, CUMIN SEEDS, PEPPER CORN SEEDS, FENNEL SEEDS WITHOUT OIL AND GRIND THEM TO POWDER.
2. TAKE A COOKING PAN, ADD OIL, WHEN THE OIL HEATS ADD 2 TBSN OF GRINDED POWDER.
3. NOW ADD ONION AND FRY THEM WELL.
4. ALSO ADD 2 TBSN OF GINGER GARLIC PASTE AND SAUTE WELL.
5. WHEN THE ONION COLOR CHANGES ADD CHICKEN INTO THE PAN AND STIR WELL.
6. AFTER FEW SECONDS ADD CHILLI POWDER, CORIANDER POWDER, TURMERIC POWDER AND SALT AND STIR WELL.
7. CLOSE THE PAN WITH A LID AND STIR IN BETWEEN SUCH THAT THE CHICKEN GETS COOKED FROM THE WATER THAT COMES FROM THE CHICKEN.
8. COOK FOR NEARLY 20-25 MIN UNTIL THE CHICKEN GETS COOKED.
9. WHEN THE CHICKEN IS COOKED, ADJUST SALT AND ADD SOME PEPPER POWDER AND STIR WELL.
